My Family

One of six children, with two brothers and three sisters I believe in in strong set of family values that ensures I stay grounded and true to myself. All the members of my family including my mother and father are integral to developing those values, values that we all agree to and live by together setting our families purpose, goals and standards.
Fighting is in our blood, my brother is one of the best and most exciting fighters in the world, European Champion and ten times national champion breaking all records and the fighter first from the UK to win all the major national titles.

As a family we belong to the Janjua Rajput caste where our fighting heritage can be dated back to the 16th century. Rajputs were the warriors who defended their kingdoms. The Rajputs have kept alive their proud history of conquest, bravery and military might and are known as warriors and fighters.
My parents have been incredibly supportive throughout my journey and my father will remain as my head coach as I begin my professional boxing career, he has guided me throughout my career and remains integral to my success moving forward as someone who knows me better than anyone else.
Without the support of my family and remaining true to my values getting this far wouldn’t have been possible and it will help me reach the pinnacle of the sport.

Inspiration

Both in and out of the ring, one man has inspired me like no other. A fighter who continues to inspire generations of new fighters like me decades after he last stepped into a ring. The greatest of all time, Muhammad Ali.

I’ve studied, watched and listened to everything I can about the legend. His bout with Sonny Liston was one I will never forget, given no chance of success, he shook the world of boxing and the world, he was a giant both in the ring and outside of it.

There’s never been a fighter like him, from the way he approached the sport, his style and passion made him a true legend of the sport. Outside of the ring, Ali was caring, kind and compassionate helping people until his final breath. He is a true role model and my greatest inspiration.

As a fighter I’ve been compared to Thomas The Hitman Hearn, with knockout power in both hands and a dangly style like Hearn has led to my ring nickname of The Hitman Hassan after Thomas Hearn.
If i could achieve just 10% of what Muhammed Ali and Thomas Hearn did then I know I will have done them proud.

BELIEFS

As a devout Muslim, I pray five times a day. We do congregational prayers at home, which I sometimes lead alongside my younger brother who is thirty-chapter Hifz which means he has memorised the 30th chapter of the Quran.
Muslims believe that the word of God is written in the Qur’an, the Islamic holy book, and they follow the teachings of the prophet Muhammad. Most Muslims place a lot of importance on the idea of serving God through prayer and certain standards of purity. The discipline in me is embedded through my religious belief. Live a clean and healthy life and pray to god, all success comes from the almighty and all defeats are tests of character from the almighty.

SUPPORTERS

Support is essential to achieving success and helps me to reach my full potential. The invaluable support gets me through each gruelling training session and prepared for the big fight. The support of my family, team and those that follow my career is truly wonderful and essential to my success and something I will always be forever grateful for.
